Dr. Hermann Josef Genn is the veterinary director of our EU approved semen collection centre. For years, he and his team have worked successfully with fresh and frozen semen.

Further qualifications: Since 1985, Dr. Hermann Josef Genn has repeatedly been the veterinarian of Olympic Dressage and Show Jumping teams. He worked as team veterinarian for the British equestrian team at the Sydney 2000 Olympics and for the Dutch dressage team at the Atlanta 2004 Olympics. At the 2007 World Equestrian Games in Aachen he was in charge for the whole Japanese equestrian team as well as for the Canadian dressage team. Having worked as an auction veterinarian and a Veterinary Medical Examiner for the Oldenburg Horse Breeders Association (Oldenburger Pferdezuchtverband) for many years, Dr. Genn handed over this function to his partner, Dr. Steinmann, in 2007. Throughout Germany, Dr. Hermann Josef Genn is regarded as a leading expert, especially in orthopaedics, performance physiology and at pre-purchase examinations. Furthermore, Dr. Genn is an official FEI veterinarian at many international competitions.
Research: Over the past years, Dr. Hermann Josef Genn has distinguished himself by extensive research in the field of bone metabolism, forage and nutrition, and, furthermore, the use of stem cells in orthopaedics. He frequently gives lectures throughout the world and regularly publishes articles in leading international scientific journals.
